Random experiments
Here you can see some examples of things I attempted years ago. Not all my work. The dinosaur skull is printed for fun. A sterling engine, just because it is fascinating. A stepper motor controller TB6600. Etc…
I did make the wind turbine prototype. Would like to make a motorized one. With pitch control, spinning blades, etc… It’s standing on a 6dof actuator, a Stewart platform. Because it’s the only correct way to test wind turbine foundations. Nobody does it that way. Too expensive. I tried to patent the concept. But some wind turbine company had a secret project where they used it first - for testing the hub of the wind turbine… not the foundation.
The red stick is a 2 dimensional load cells. I tested it on a revived XYZ gentry the lab personnel put in a trash can. Revived that trash, and used what I learned later in life to build a 100 000 EUR, 5 tonne, 5 meters tall robot in the laboratory… but it can not measure 6 dof of loads. Like we should. Right after we start to make simulations on GPU, using alternative elasto-plasticity formulation (strain-space plasticity, P.J.Yoder 1980).
